HEAT SHIELD ASSEMBLY The splashguard assembly consists of 2 pieces: the heat shield and the splashguard. The heat shield must be fitted during cooking operations otherwise the mixer will not operate and error code E:03 will be displayed. The heat shield is to protect the mixer head from steam produced during the cooking process. If necessary both the heat shield and the splashguard can be fitted to retain ngredients in the bowl e.g. when mixing light ingredients such as flour and icing sugar, or when cooking ingredients where moisture needs to be retained in the bowl. The splashguard should not be fitted to the bowl unless used in conjunction with the heat shield.
